Pamaya Ltd of Penrhyn Bay are currently hosting two European students as part of an ongoing programme which provides students with work experience whilst immersing them in the culture, heritage and countryside of North Wales.

We first learnt about Conlan Schools of Abergele when their Managing Director Francesco Cendron offered a Programming Student Wu Jiang to reside with us for a three week period back in 2008.

Wu gained industrial and language experience with Pamaya Ltd who are one of North Wales’ leading Web and graphical design companies.

CTO Maja Williams said that it was a pleasure to have provided Wu with this opportunity and was impressed with his knowledge so early in his career. Wu showed signs of becoming an accomplished Programmer once his training was completed. Working on both in-house and commercial projects has given Wu the insight of commercial requirements in a fast moving sector.

More recently, Pamaya have provided placements for Vanessa Gorga from Bari in Southern Italy and also Silvio Boldrin from Milan.

Vanessa’s work has been widely varied and has focussed on Pamaya’s Client The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza; meanwhile Silvio has been flexing his muscles in design concepts and deliverables for some of North Wale’s leading businesses.

Pamaya M.D. Paul Williams said “ Once again, it has been a real pleasure in hosting these young European professionals, it is fantastic to see the standard of work they are able to deliver and in many cases puts our UK students to shame because of their business awareness.

We look forward to a continued relationship with Conlan School in the not too distant future and we wish Vanessa and Silvio good luck with their studies; we are sure that the will make ‘model’ employees.

Job

Redevelopment of the existing blogging website.

Brief

aberconwyconservatives.com had extended so much that they needed to create and own their own website, as opposed to a website owned by a shared hosting company, where many other websites were held and none of the content was owned by the aberconwy conservatives. Pamaya was approached to provide an appraisal of aberconwyconservatives.com internet and marketing strategy. Pamaya consulted, outlined a draft proposal along with a project brief for consideration by the management team.

It was evident from the start that aberconwyconservatives.com had a strong coherent brand but did not own the website nor the content hosted on it, which would serve several objectives.

To inform the website users what was happening in the Aberconwy Conservatives Party.

Allow users and all interested parties to interact with the website with the minimum of human action.

Promote the businesses effectively and to rank highly within the search engine indexes.

Solution

A fully interactive business portal website using a full range of programming techniques including flash, mapping, event management, newsletter subscription, dynamic site maps, content management, full user administration, automated payment processing, free text search, dynamically generated features and of course full search engine optimization.

Visit Website: aberconwyconservatives.com

Best in Class Uptime

If you’ve ever had your email service go down, you know how important uptime is. Businesses rely on email more than ever before, whether it’s a “contact us” link on your website, emailing client documents, or gathering your team for a meeting. In fact, over 80% of small business owners consider reliable email an important part of their success. However, maintaining safe, reliable email service is no easy task. Just ask the 25% of business owners who experienced major email outages last year.

The Satisfaction Guarantee
Pamaya customers have the luxury of not worrying about uptime. We guarantee all systems related to delivering your email are operational-or your money back. We’re that confident because we have nearly a decade of experience successfully navigating mail to inboxes, safely, quickly, and efficiently.

How Do We Deliver?
That requires vigilance on multiple fronts to guarantee on demand email performance every time you hit “send”:

Sending & Receiving-Across multiple data centers, we maintain over 1000 mail servers moving more than 50 million messages a day. Using simple, scalable inbound and outbound mail servers, traffic spikes are efficiently spread across data centers and new servers are deployed on demand. All of this happens without a blip in service on your end.

Secure Mail Storage-If a catastrophe wipes out your systems, it won’t wipe out mail data. Two live copies are always available, plus a third offline backup. Messages are backed up daily and retrievable up to 14 days later.

System Metrics & Alerts-Real-time monitoring tells us immediately if there’s a broken link in our system before it affects your inbox. All day, every day from over 20 locations on five continents, we test mail delivery, server availability, and security. When a problem arises, dozens of experienced engineers handle the problem and plan to prevent reoccurrence.

Our People-Engineers and developers are the foundation of our guarantee. We’ve assembled functional teams dedicated to individual aspects of mail delivery. Within these teams, developers designing new features and fixes work alongside engineers responsible for troubleshooting and keeping the systems running. So if something goes wrong, the people who built the systems are working in sync with the people expected to fix it.

With our highly specialized, directed teams and processes focused on your email, you can go back to focusing on your business.

POP3, IMAP4, and SMTPPamaya Ultimate hosted email supports all standard email protocols, like POP3, IMAP, and SMTP. They allow users to check and send email via desktop email clients like Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird, plus wireless devices like BlackBerry, iPhone, and Windows Mobile devices. This means you can use your favorite email apps while using our service.

POP3
Post Office Protocol (Version 3) is what most users need and use today.
POP3 is a client/server protocol in which email is received and held on a mail server. Periodically, you check for mail on that server and then download it to your email client. POP3 is the standard protocol built into practically every email client. This method is well-suited for users that don’t want to store email messages online.

IMAP4
Internet Message Access Protocol (Version 4) is another popular way to access email messages. With IMAP4, messages and folders are always stored on the mail server. When users access their email, they are working directly with these messages. This means that any updates made to the email, such as moving, flagging, or marking a message as unread, is stored on the server.

IMAP4 is a convenient option for users who need to access their email online from multiple clients at multiple computers or locations.

Our IMAP server supports IMAP IDLE, which provides real-time push support for IMAP applications, alerting you the second you have new mail… which makes it very powerful for users on the go.

SMTP
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is the standard protocol for sending email messages across the Internet. It is also commonly referred to as an outgoing mail server. Our SMTP servers are configured to require SMTP Authentication. The servers themselves perform two important functions.
First, they verify that anyone sending outgoing email through the SMTP server has the right to do so. Then secondly, they send the outgoing email. If undeliverable, the mail gets sent message back to the sender.

SSL and TLS Encryption
We provide SSL and TLS encryption for POP3, IMAP, SMTP, and the Webmail client. This encrypts your data so that others cannot view it. Our servers also support opportunistic TLS, which allows your incoming and outgoing email data to be encrypted as it travels through the internet. This is very important for passwords and confidential emails.

Supported RFCs
RFCs are standards for email communication between servers and email clients. These standards are approved by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and are known as RFCs. These standards cover SMTP, POP, and IMAP, among other Internet technologies.

Threat Blocker #1: Our Gatekeeper Scan. Our team of email experts developed the Gatekeeper scan to evaluate a message’s compliance with rigorous, internationally recognized technical standards. Messages are also checked against aggregated blacklists of known spam offenders.

Threat Blocker #2: Message Sniffer. Utilizing user feedback and enhanced pattern matching, Message Sniffer seamlessly annihilates over 98% of spam in real time.

Threat Blocker #3: Cloudmark and CommTouch. Advanced Message Fingerprinting from Cloudmark is strong enough to annihilate spam and accurately identify virus attacks. Plus, we added CommTouch’s thorough spam filters, featuring Recurrent Pattern Detection (RPD) technology.

Threat Blocker #4: Clam AV. Incorporating a three-layer virus scan on all incoming messages, Clam AV targets deceptive measures senders use to mask viruses, compares the message against known virus definitions, and evaluates attachments for possible viruses.

Maintaining this comprehensive level of threat protection could cost you thousands of dollars a month to maintain. As a Pamaya customer, these protections are free with every mailbox you add.
